Shri Chunnilal Bhaktawarmal Mehta Charitable trust was formed by Mr. Kiran Mehta in the year 1995 in loving memory of late Shri Chunnilal ji Bhaktawarmal ji Mehta. Shri Chunnilal Ji whom people affectionately called as "Basa" was known for his noble, simple and principled thoughts and integrity.
The trust was formed with a vision to secure the future of the needy people and provide them wholesome food, good education and timely medical care. Since the last fifteen years the trust and Mehta family are enthusiastically serving the society with diverse endeavors. They are also associated with protection of cows "Gauraksha" For this, An animal shelter has been constructed and maintained by the trust. The trust has always been quick to provide possible assistance to areas hit by disaster.
As a part of Mehta family's tribute to BASA & Shri Sai Baba's showering blessings "Sai Dham", a unique temple of its kind has been constructed at the auspicious place of Rani, Rajasthan. His holiness Sadguru Shri Sai Narayan Baba has blessed this place with his divine peace and spiritual presence. Sadguru Sai Narayan Baba is "Guru" to Shri Kiran Mehta.
Shri Navratan Mehta & Smt. Nirmala N. Mehta are contributing equally in social developments with other trustees. Shri Kiran Mehta & Shri Kailash Agarwal have put enormous efforts for this noble cause. Inspite of their busy schedules, they are always ready to serve the society. Essential items like shelter, food, quilts and clothes and medical assistance is regularly supplied to needy people by them.
Mr. Kiran Mehta says, "Basa has been the inspiration and visionary of my life. His affection towards his people, society and country at large always inspires me to do something special for the society. Rani Sai Dham is my tribute to Shri Sai Baba and Basa”.
Mr. Kiran Mehta is a strong follower of Basa's principles and ethics and firm believer and devotee for Shri Sai Baba. A philanthropist, he has supported a variety of social causes in his personal capacity. He strongly believes in value beyond profits.
